2010 Womens' Health Heros Award

The renowned women's health advocacy organization Our Bodies Ourselves has named ABSOLUTELY SAFE director Carol Ciancutti-Leyva a Womens' Health Hero.

Carol has been honored with this distinguished award for her commitment to educating women and men about the safety of breast implants. For over a decade, Carol has dedicated herself to keeping the debate about breast implant safety active. Since the completion of the film ABSOLUTELY SAFE, Carol has screened the film around the country and spoken to thousands of young women and men about the realities of breast implants.

The Our Bodies Ourselves Award Nomination says it best:

I believe that women deserve to know whether there is a possibility that breast implants could be harmful to their health, and Ms. Ciancutti-Leyva is making great strides in creating a new discourse surrounding the absoluteness of breast implant safety.

  1. Our muscles become deflated with age, losing their moisture like a dry sponge. Acupuncture restores the natural internal irrigation so the 'sponge' is plumped up again and the wrinkles disappear. Treatments include addressing the facial muscles directly because the electro-stimulation of the natural electric charge in the muscle re-establishes the natural flow and the charge/discharge cycle. This enlivens the tissue. Fluids can move through as they did in youth. Kathleen's PEMF instrument quickens the process of rebuilding skin and muscle tissue, while improving the face's senses: vision, hearing, brain power, and also alleviating depression, as confirmed in numerous studies!
